You are welcome to join the Graphic Artists Guild. Start by reviewing the Guild's National Web Site.
Many members join for the Guild's national programs: you get a copy of the Guild's Handbook, Pricing and Ethical Guidelines, our national newsletter, discounted pricing in our Directory of Illustration and you help support a national voice for working graphic artists.
Check out the Chicago Chapter web site and you'll see an overview of our local activities. Chicago members can post an art or design sample and contact information in our Chicago Directory. Members participate in programs and events designed to help develop and promote their businesses.
If you're thinking of joining and know a member, make them your sponsor! Come to a Chapter Meeting with them. Current members bring prospective members to Chicago Chapter Meetings and receive credit as their sponsor. For each new member they have sponsored they receive rebates on local Guild events and programs valued at $25.
If you're not able to join now or if you just want to check things out, you are welcome to attend Chicago networking meetings and speakers programs before you join. Come out and meet Chicago area illustrators and graphic designers.
