The Guild offers members a chance to meet professional illustrators, graphic designers, art directors, and prospective clients. Please review our Chicago Directory of membership here on the web site. Then come out to meet your fellow Guild members at our networking meetings and speakers programs.
Members! You need to stay in touch, update your contact information in our web listings, attend meetings and participate in programs whenever possible. Review the Chicago Chapter web site. You can find out about Chicago area activities. You will be introduced to local Guild members and their work. You can participate with your own art sample and contact information on our web site.
Show up at Chapter Meetings. An active member volunteers time for the Guild. We work together to create all of our local programing. Local Board members coordinate volunteer activity. Support your local chairpeople and Board officers. Help organize Guild events and programs. Make things happen. You could run for office yourself.
Review your member listing in our on-line directory. As a benefit of your Chicago Chapter membership, your listing can be posted here. Your listing may include a name, company name, email and www link (or business phone and snail mail address), plus a 20-30 word summary of your business describing your illustration and/or graphic design style, media, markets, software programs, major clients, etc. Please email webmaster any corrections or additions.
Select your art or design sample carefully. Please select only images that look good viewed at 2” x 2”. Scan and save your full color art sample as a 2” x 2” (355 dpi) TIFF (RGB) or Illustrator EPS on Zip, diskette or CD. Snail mail art samples to Graphic Artists Guild–Chicago, P.O. Box 269049, Chicago, IL 60626 or email.
